I have been a Full Professor of Computer Science at the University of Corsica "Pasquale Paoli" since 2023. After obtaining a degree in Electronics Engineering from the University of Nice Sophia Antipolis in 2003, I have focused my research within the Sciences for the Environment (SPE) laboratory, UMR CNRS 6134. My research area is the modeling and simulation (M&S) of complex systems of systems using a discrete-event approach based on the DEVS (Discrete EVent system Specification) formalism.
My teaching activities take place within the BUT program "Métiers du Multimedia et de l'Internet" (MMI) at the IUT, and the Master's program FullStack developper at the Faculty of Sciences and Techniques (FST) of the University of Corsica.
My research activities are carried out within the Simulation, Computer Science, and Ubiquitous Systems (SISU) project team of the SPE UMR CNRS 6134 laboratory. My research interests focus on the field of modeling and simulation of complex systems using discrete-event approaches based on the DEVS (Discrete EVent system Specification) formalism. This work involves developing a theoretical framework and a generic modeling and simulation environment for complex systems, through the following research topics::
- The extention of the DEVS formalism
- Software development around the DEVS formalism
- Modeling and simulation with the DEVS formalism
more details are mentioned in the Research section.
My teaching activities take place within the "Métiers du Multimédia et de l'Internet" (MMI, formerly SRC) program at the IUT and the Master's degree program "FullStack dev" at the Faculty of Sciences and Techniques. Among the subjects I teach are:
- Modeling and simulation of complex systems with DEVS formalism and DEVSimPy software;
- Content Management Systems (CMS);
- Object-oriented and event-oriented programming;
- Web programming ;
- Mobile programming;
- and more...
